The short version of who I am is a mom that wants to help young people who are just starting out learn about money, moving out, living away from family, jobs, customer service, and whatever else they need to be sucessful in life. I want to teach as much of “they should have taught that in school” as I can.
I have recently retired from local government. I made many money mistakes over the years and also had money sucesses. I either worked two or three jobs or a lot of overtime a large portion of my working career. I have two adult children that are awesome. I love to sit and talk about money and life as we play board games at my kitchen table. It’s a bonus if their partners or friends are there.
I have helped several kids out over the years. Some I have had live with me, some I have sat and had discussions on topics like buying a house and saving for retirement. I also ran a youth football cheerleading program.
Next to my kids, helping other young people fills my heart. That’s the goal. Teaching as many young people so they can start out ahead instead of behind. The world can be hard enough, so I am here to help.
